Mill Creek

Mill Creek flows below my property and heads northwest to join the Bitterroot River; bringing with it cold alpine water from the mountains behind us. The chiaroscuro of the hoarfrost covered trees are a stark backdrop to the glacial green water in the creek. The forest quietly stands by as the gurgling rush of water crosses new ice dams. Listen closely....it speaks poetry in a forgotten alphabet.
