Up on the roof

Shawbury, not very far away from us recorded a temperature of  -13 degrees last night, the lowest in the country.  We put an extra blanket on the bed and Mr T even donned some bed socks!

Lots of snow still lying but no more falling and there's rain forecast for tomorrow.  Local Schools are still shut though and our garden bird visitors are wanting as much food and water as we can provide for them.  Didn't see the LTT's today but our usual gang of Sparrows, Starlings and Blackbirds, our friendly Robin and a few Blue Tits were vying for food all day.   We haven't had any post since Saturday.  I haven't been out today but have finished writing all my C Cards and wrapping presents for posting and as the forecast is a little kinder tomorrow I'll dig out and walk/trudge to the PO to post them. .
