Bird Watching at Nothe Fort

The Bird Walk was at Newton's Cove, near Not the Fort, Weymouth. This is a place neither of us had been before but it is where the Olympic Sailing was officially viewed in 2012. Surprisingly, the sun came out after the freezing temperatures in the early hours.
We saw some unusual ducks called scoter as well as some red shanks feeding near the shore.
Had a coffee at Nothe Tavern afterwards then we were transfixed by a murmuration of starlings over the roof tops by Weymouth Harbour - it was mesmerising.
