A meeting of old friends

The ex cafe staff from the Tapestry Tearoom got together today at the Quaker Tapestry Xmas Lunch!
We determinedly sat together on one table although that was against the rules. Because we wanted to have a catch up!
Ann is fine but looking after aged parents. Theresa is fine but looking after Patrick who doesn't get about so well now.
Sue is fine and looking after everyone.
Dawn is fine but looking after aged mother, though her son has finally moved out!
Vik is doing lots of voluntary work and happy.
Jenny is here there and everywhere.
And I am busy busy!
The 'party' itself was a shadow of its former glory though. The lunch was a vegan vegetable and lentil stew with bread. A satsuma. A mince pie. A cup of Nescafé
When I think of the lengths we went to to make a splendid meal for all those valuable volunteer stewards, it seems rather sad.
There was a few remaining loyal volunteers and Quakers but they seemed to be thin on the ground.
Oh well....
