Milne-Edwards' Sifaka

Madagascar Day 4

Last day in Ranomafana National Park today and what a day! First we saw the Golden Bamboo Lemurs, then we took a really steep climb through the forest to get a view of the only two Greater Bamboo Lemurs in the park, sadly they are father and daughter. We were the last to get there and only caught a glimpse as they moved on as we got there. One of the guides asked me & J to follow him to follow after these very rare lemurs. The trek that followed was even more treterous than the climb we had just had, at one point I slipped down hill and bashed my arm. We did catch up with them though and had our own private and peaceful viewing. We met back up with the group and went back to the hotel for lunch... mmm caramel chocolate bananas!

The afternoon walk also consisted of a hill climb and we had an extra close encounter with the Milne-Edwards' Sifakas, so beautiful.
