Christmas Carols at Tampere Old Church

Today we had Christmas lunch at work - it was good to have some Christmas food after such a long time, we had also retired colleagues join us for the lunch and coffee. Seems that they were all so relaxed and peaceful, makes you wonder whether retiring might be a good idea soon...

After lunch some Kazakh students stopped me in the corridor and wanted to give me some gifts for 'the nice classes that we had together' . It was so nice, I got a book of Kazakh aphorisms, a colourful scarf, and some chocolate from Kazakhstan! They were so nice and friendly.

In the evening there were the Christmas Carols in English at Tampere Old Church at the Central Square. The songs were beautiful, and there was a choir, a trumpet and guitar player, as well as an organ player - not all at once, though. It was very lively, but there was also a nice Christmas feeling there. Afterwards we were offered some tea and cakes.
