Stay-At-Home Moth

I first saw this guy about 8 this morning, stuck on the side of the door to the shed. There is such lovely subtle color in his wings. Over the course of the day I went back multiple times, hoping to see him open up, hoping there would be brilliant color inside. Ten hours later, through several little rainstorms, he is still there stuck to the side of the door. Once he had turned around and faced the other way. It's getting dark and cold--will he still be there in the morning?

Plus: today is 10/11/12. Isn't that a great sequence? and wouldn't it make a great birthdate to put on all those forms that always have to be filled in!
