Time to cook

I've nearly caught up on everything since I got back. Caught up enough to have time to try the pilaf recipe from the paper a couple of weeks back. It says it is delicious with roasted veg.
The pepper, aubergines and tomatoes are from the greenhouse. The ground cinnamon is cos I don't have sticks.
I don't know what I was more worried about: the teacloth catching fire or the whole pan burning to inedibility but I put the timer on and left it!
Not quite a golden crust - more butter next time and there will be a next time 'cos it was delicious and beautifully perfumed with lemon and cardamon.
