girls > boys

So....here in The Netherlands we treat people to beschuit met muisjes when a baby is born. Pink for girls, blue for boys. As the number of visits increases, and I get more hungry producing baby fuel, it was time to restock our muisjes (so-called because sugar-coated anise seeds look like tiny mice). Looks like there is a local baby girl boom....isn't the general sex ratio of newborn babies supposed to be male-biased? Or do the pink muisjes really taste better, as rumour has it?
