Green back yard

Well, it's not pretty but it's definitely productive. Today being the longest day, it was the day to harvest the garlic and the multiplying onions from my raised vegetables beds . Not enormous bulbs on the garlic , but plenty of them for a household of 2 or 3 and the onions have yielded a very generous crop. They'll dry out very effectively on the deck.
The sprinkler is going all night on the beds(our own rain water) and then I'll spread a bit of pea straw to leave till about Easter when the brassicas go in.
Pea straw is such good mulch , but much to South Islanders' horror, up here in the Waikato it 's priced at $20 per bale!
