The Shortest Day...

I spent a bit of time re-arranging things in the garden hoping for a chance at something other than Blue tits.

Couldn't believe my luck when this handsome heavyweight of the finch family came over to investigate the new feeder arrangement. Greenfinches are in decline, we used to get lots in the winter now we see one or two only. 

The rest of the day has passed quite quietly...
