What I've Done

St Bees beach reflections

Last day of the nature workshop, and despite my suggestions of the woods around Blea Tarn (which has excellent fungi) the group seemed hell bent on visiting St Bees by the coast - possibly because of the stop at Wellington farm ice cream shop on the way home. (they make Talikser Malt Whisky ice cream from the milk from their Jersy cows!).

We arrived at St Bees just as the tide was on the turn, and were forecast 25mph offshore winds, so I expected really textured sand from the outgoing tide. Got nothing of the sort, winds lighter than expected, and glass smooth sand, which held loads of water and gave these surreal reflections.
