First Bike ride

The hire company delivered our bikes this morning. The confusion over the bookings and directions to the holiday house made sense when we realised that the business had been taken over earlier in the year. The new owners found us OK and were very friendly. There were no bike racks supplied with the bikes - something that we'd booked last time. They didn't have any on the van so we decided not to worry about it and possibly buy some. 

After thinking about it for a bit, we rang the hire company and asked if we could pick some up from their base. We put the bikes on our bike carriers and headed off to their house. All was sorted very quickly and we decided to stop on the way back and try one of the Vendee velo routes nearby. It was a lovely area and we enjoyed the ride in bright sunshine. Good to get the racks if we are going to do some longer rides.
