1872 Cup game.

The 1872 Challenge Cup is the oldest inter-district Rugby Union competition in the world - played between rivals Edinburgh & Glasgow. It’s a two legged competition, the games played around Christmas and New Year. The Cup goes to the aggregate winner.
Edinburgh won the first leg this evening by 18-17 at Murrayfield, despite a player being red carded 4 mins in. The return match is next Saturday in Glasgow.
We used to go as a family during the festive period. Tonight 4 of us stayed home in the warmth and watched on TV - and ate Chinese food!
Afterwards some more Christmas presents were wrapped.
Earlier in the day I was out for a walk to blow away the cobwebs. It was quite mild for December, last weeks penetrating cold has gone. It’s going to be wet tonight and into Christmas Eve.
