Surfin' Santa

I've been taking a picture of this statue every day for the past week, trying to get it into blip position, so, finally, here it is against a dramatic morning sky. The sun never really came out today, but we were housebound anyway, cooking and baking and printing and wrapping and tasking our little hearts out. Doing all the last minute things I always think I've taken care of in advance.

The Extra is thanks to the sharp ears of Mr S, who heard a tap tap tapping as he was out doing something in the yard. Neither of us has ever seen a woodpecker anywhere near here, so it was a very exciting moment. I think it's a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, but what do I know. Any ideas?
