Loaded with Calories

Christmas Eve has arrived, a beautiful sunny and very warm day.

I was up early to crank into the desert making......Chocolate Kahlua Cheesecake (will be decorated in the morning), Cherry Layered Cream  and Gourmet Rocky Road.  Seemed a good idea to blip the results.

We are home alone this year (don't feel sorry for us, there is a very good reason for this) - Christmas day will be spent with two of our "bestie" couples who also aren't with family this year. We've done this before and always have a very fun day. The pressure is off as its not at our home this time.

Seems weird not to be with family either here of at their places, but later in January us and our Wellington & Townsville families are travelling to Hastings for a family holiday, before coming back to Wellington to continue our time together.

After lunch Doug & I walked along the cliffs - it was ridiculously hot and reminded us of our walking between the villages of Cinque Terre. So hot, I got a screaming headache even though I had a hat on......many glasses of cold water later I have revived but the headache lingers.
