St. Mary's Haddington

Today was a significant step forward in the training of our puppy, Megan as we now feel happy enough to leave her for a couple of hours at lunch time and to go out for a meal. We went to the Waterside at Haddington which is now run by the same management team that used to run the the Rocks at Dunbar which was our most regular watering hole. Jim Findlay's sons have bought the well known hostelry at Haddington which their father used to run over twenty years ago. Jim was supposed to have retired a couple of years ago but is still very much involved if not in charge. This is the view across the river Tyne from the Waterside, with the church of St. Mary's dominating the scene.
