Narcissism

Is it narcissistic to order a whacking great big print of one of your own photos, presumptuously mounting it, all to give to someone else as a present? In fairness Mel has always loved this shot, which I got earlier in the year in Holyrood Park. And it's all unpacked as we did a one-present-exchange this evening, given we don't get Christmas to ourselves.

Tiring tiring day. Mel was up half of the night unwell, so it became a day of almost non-stop doing 'stuff' as she rested. But grabbed some time later on to get a larger scale pen and ink sketch of a fox drawn - something I've wanted to do for a little while. A3 size (usually work at A5!) and pictured in the extras. Scanned in and reduced to A4 this should make a nice print for my upcoming online store...

Now, with the lunch soup for tomorrow made; the dinner of beef rendang similarly made and improving overnight (yeah, it's non-traditional, you can stuff your turkey *b'dum tish*; the cinnamon and cardamom rolls done and ready for the oven in the morning; meds sourced for Mel; the spare room bed made up; the chooks exercised; and only the bathroom to clean, and the presents to be organised under the tree.... It's about time for Christmas! ;)
