Sorry to say I developed a rear wheel puncture a few minutes later, I shall have to buy the equipment to deal with it when the shops open on Boxing Day - and teach myself how to do it. The YouTube videos stress that accurate positioning of the wheel and tightening of the nuts is "very important", surprise surprise.

Dare I trust myself to do the job properly?
