Orlando's

It's a rarity to find a bar these days that is named after the actual proprietor of the premises rather than some fictional avuncular publican of yore, and even more rare for the titular proprietor to be behind the bar most nights. Orlando's in Oslo is such a place. Jarvises like to know who their money is going to once it is in the till - much of it to the government in Norwegian bars, of course - and they approve if it's going into the pocket of a top geezer. Orlando certainly meets that description. He hails from Cape Verde, and used to sail with the merchant navy, often between Venezuela and Scotland. The waves tossed him on the shores of Norway in the 1980s, and he has owned and operated his bar since then - always a welcome port in a storm.
