Weeds, be gone!

As in previous years, I withdraw from much of the commercial hype that Christmas has become, and avoid town and shopping as much as possible in the lead-up to it.  Still, there comes a time when the supermarket just has to be visited.......no sherry for the sherry trifle was the impetus today.  Wasn't as bad as I thought it may have been - relief!

In between times though, there was plenty to be done to give my house and garden the Christmas it deserves, including the beheading of the weeds that continue to flourish in an otherwise brown and barren lawn.

Lawns mowed - tick
Edges trimmed - tick
General garden tidy-up - tick
Garden furniture spruced up - tick
Vacuuming - tick
Dusting - tick
Sherry trifle - tick
Roast vege salad - tick

Think I deserve to share a drink and mince pie with Santa after all that!
