The Point

The Point, in Central Milton Keynes, was the UK's first Multi-Plex Cinema, with 10 screens, and was opened in 1985.
After the highs of the 80's The Point has seen a steady decline and is now at serious risk of being demolished, which is a shame.
At night The Point could be seen, in the old days, from as far away as Junction 14 of the M1 as a large glowing red pyramid.

I used to visit The Point in it's heyday to see the current releases and to use the nightclub which was situated upstairs.
I actually spent more time in the nightclub arresting people than dancing when, as a Security Officer at the shooping centre opposite it, we would back-up The Point's bouncers during the regular Friday and Saturday night punch-ups that could number over 30 people fighting on the dancefloor, the bar and in the street......great days!!
