A Trip Down Memory Lane

Or towpath to be more precise. A clear, but cold day on the Shropshire Union Canal as was met up with my dad and Ali on his boat at the Hurleston Locks. We walked from the Barbridge to start with, then moored up there for "Christmas" lunch. Caught up with stuff, talked about our pressies, holidays to come and Donald Trump being blamed from everything that has gone wrong in the world. All fun. Tuttle Jnr & myself helped turn the boat round before setting off on our own ways home as the night darkened.

Doreen & Paddy were at home when we returned, drank more coffee, cake, nibbles then watched the third Hobbit instalment on tape catch-up.

All fun.

The photo of Tuttle Jnr was taken by an over spill a stone throw away from the Barbridge pub. The older pic was taken in 2009 from the same place. He remembers it well. The fascination of the sound and the look of water rippling over the rim whilst a boat passes never tires us, even us adults.
Happy days.
