Drax Power Station

Today's blip is the third consecutive blip taken whilst out in grim weather!
Today we travelled over to Barmby on the Marsh just over the River Ouse from Drax Power Station. We were meeting for a walk with a London friend who was staying in Lincoln, so this was the chosen half way meeting point. We braved icy winds and sleet/snow for a short circular walk along the Rivers Derwent and Ouse and back to the pub in Barmby for a welcome lunch. It really was too cold to mess about much with the camera. The area is very flat, but I did think the power station was probably the most interesting feature as it gently hummed and sent out plumes of smoke into the icy winds. You can see it from miles around.
