Step Gable

Temperature has dropped right down again. I don't think it got above freezing today as the frost has remained the whole day. Molly and I had a really nice walk down to Gilmerton Wood first thing this morning. I didn't take the camera as the light wasn't great and it was very cold. Needless to say we saw lots of deer - some quite close.
By the afternoon the light was much better. Today's blip is of part of the step gable on the doocot behind the church - taken at an angle. The doocot was built in 1583 by George Hepburn. It was restored in 1996 by the Scottish Flag Trust and made into a small heritage centre providing an audio visual display and information about the Saltire.
