Pressie time!

Santa finally came! Iris, as you can imagine was pretty non perplexed by the occasion but Esther seemed very taken with present opening despite being a bit poorly.

We were meant to get to Dad's for half ten but we made it for twelve leaving loads of presents behind to have round two tomorrow. We asked her to pick a present to take to Grandad's. She chose her Alice in Wonderland cup (you wonder why you bother!).

At Dad's Gem was in full swing cooking lunch before the rest of the Edge's descended open us with more presents and their own stash of toys.

Dad had done an amazing job of making sure we all had a wrapped present under the tree and a money wallet which was always Mum's job.

Lunch was lovely, catering for eleven can't be easy (my contribution was making the bread sauce!). Then a game of Pieface, Super Mario Kart on the new Nintendo Switch, Cluedo, Perfection and contributing to the BB8 Lego build. While Alice and Esther played with their dolls house off Grandad and tea set off Auntie Gem.

Back home by half ten all completely exhausted but happy. I felt a little guilty for having such a nice day without Mum but it's hard not to surrounded by kids.
