Housebound and lazy

I will have to pull myself together. I went outside to hang some washing out.Its freezing.
I inspected the bird bath and its frozen.
I don't know if birds are able to break through ice ? Woodpeckers maybe? Not seen around these parts so off to sort out a hammer ;)
