End Of The Line

Quite difficult on a circular track though.  I meant the title more as representative of the working year.

Hooray, I'm off until Tuesday.

And as a fond farewell from work it started to snow as I left the office.  The last person to leave the office.  I got to switch all the lights off (and I got to switch them on when I arrived this morning).

Happy to be home.  Hoping there is nothing more exciting planned for the next three days than opening a bottle of bubbles.

Oh and time for a Cultural Observation.  It's very normal here to wish people a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year in advance (you hear "Guten Rutsch" everywhere you go at the minute). 

But.  If you wish someone "Happy Birthday" in advance...  It's Just Not Done.  You have Crossed The Line and No Good Can Come Of It.

I have no idea why, because I already know that it's unlucky to be superstitious.
