The morning started with Buddha not waking me up. First time ever. I was sure he was dead. Fortunately he wasn't. He too got up from his bed and as he moved he cried a little. So to the vets it was. he was clearly in a lot of pain.

Our vet squeezed us in on her busy morning. She thinks Buddha might have some nerves pinched in the spine. His blood work was fine. So he got some injections for pain and we have tablets for a week. We'll go back next Friday for a check up if he's doing okay. At least now that the painkillers are working he's taking back a lost play time. Big time. He's so annoying :-)

But what a hectic morning our vet was having. My gosh. We were extras. She had deliveries coming in. Phone ringing. Customers coming in. And she was alone. Also her own dog was there as she was not doing good that morning. She had similar problem as Buddha. But I think she was 13 years old. Very cute dog. Anyway in the midst of all that a guy comes in with a dog that is not wearing a leash. He wants to buy some doggie food. As he's doing his shopping Tito pees in one corner. All of us sitting there waiting took a deep loud breath in terror with one voice. The guy just said "Tito no" and continued to shop and then Tito made it again! So the poor very busy vet had to clean after Tito too in the middle of it all! Our dog only bit her.

Yes that too really happened. She had blood coming out of her finger. Buddha really fought with every fiber he had in his body. We had to put a muffler on him and the two of us held him still for the vet to be able to take a blood sample. It was a very stressful visit for all of us.

On the bright side. It was a very summery day with the temps going over 22°C in the shadows. So we went shopping :-) Got some clothes for Niklas and some scouting for us when the sales begin after 6th of January.
