Not quite thick enough for skating!

This is the small nature reserve at the end of the loch in the James Hamilton Heritage Park. There is no access for the public and when the trees are in full bloom the wee reserve is almost completely hidden from view.

The water there was completely frozen so no bird life about. Although the larger loch was partially frozen there was enough open water for the ducks and swans. I don’t think it will be too long before the two adult swans send their youngsters packing ..... the adult pair will just now allow any other adult swans to share their loch.
