The Minster

This morning my daughter and I climbed the 275 steps to the roof of the tower of York Minster. I did this last year and was pleased to find that I could still do it. The spiral staircase does get rather narrow towards the top, so maybe not for the claustrophobic. Emerging on to the roof is quite an experience - wonderful views are to be had here! Last year it was misty and I couldn't see a thing!

I think the Minster is probably Britain's most glorious building. I can happily sit down inside and just soak up the history - everything about it is superb.
