Big Waves at Carskey

After storm Dylan had blown through we were left with a mostly bright morning although there were some squally showers in the morning and more showers forecast for later.
Went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. Big waves were crashing in all the way from Dunaverty round to Carskey so there were no seals to be seen today.
At Carskey we walked along to the far end and came back again along the path at the back of the beach with the last little bit back on the beach itself. The tide was high and the waves were driving up the beach once they had broken on their way into shore. The sea was spectacular.
Any cobwebs were well and truly blown away :-)
Wishing everyone all the very best for 2018 :-)
