Silvester Traditions

Some things have to be done.

Silvester begets Sylvester.

I have a huge pot of Linsensuppe on cooking.  You might have guessed from the Blip.  Lentils, carrots, onions, chickpeas, garam masala - all the good things.

Linsen was one those words that confused me at first in German.  I mean Linsensuppe is obviously lentil soup, but what the hell were Kontaktlinsen? 

Contact lentils?  Eh? 

Turns out Linsen are both lentils and lenses. 

Not at the same time.

It's the end of 2017 and I'm hoping that 2018 is going to be the Best Year Ever for all of us.
