this 55-foot (16.8m) finback whale was spotted washed up in the harbor a few days ago. the cause of death is unknown at the moment, although a necropsy is being scheduled. the carcass is currently beached at georges island, although the tide has taken it all around the harbor.

said an anonymous onlooker: "this is so sad. that thing has quite the pecker, though."
