The Dawning of a New Year
MONDAY - New Year's Day
After a late night and hardly any sleep, I drove up to the road to the crags of Buckstones Edge on the top of the Pennines and waited in the freezing cold for the first dawn of 2018.
Even with a hat, gloves and thick coat it was bone chilling cold. The wind was so strong I had to hold the tripod down to stop it blowing over. I didn't wait for the sun to rise above the clouds.
The extra, taken just down the lane from home some 20 minutes later, shows the first sunrise of the year.
Happy New Year to all my Blip friends. Hope your dreams come true in 2018.
