A trail of three fells

The A592 between Newby Bridge and Bowness closes for thirteen weeks from tomorrow. With in mind we thought we ought to have one last trip to Windermere up the A592 before we have to take the much longer route via Kendal. A lovely undulating walk which took in Orrest Head, School Knott and finally Brant Fell. We were lucky with the weather as it didn't start to rain until close to the end. The main blip is the view from Brant Fell as the rain approached - just managed to capture a piece of the rainbow. In extras is a panorama of the lovely view from School Knott.
