Murmuration

More can be seen hereSis and I headed to Potteric Carr nature reserve near Doncaster for a walk and to watch the murmuration. (I have been passing the magnificent display on my way home from work pretty much every work day but nowhere to stop off on the motorway to get a shot)
The start of the walk was in lovely winter sunshine and so things were looking good for some glorious colour as a backdrop. Alas by time the murmuration got started it was pretty grey. But the setting son the camera have at least given a blue tinge to it. The Trust estimated around 50,000 starlings. A truly mesmerising sight.
