New Year 2018 First Walk

The North Carolina State Parks sponsor a "First Walk" program in all their parks.  We chose Hammocks Beach State Park.  A 15 minute boat ride to Bear Island and a walk to the beautiful beach and back.

The weather is NOTHING like it was two days ago when we played golf.  Today, it was 20 degrees F  (-7 C), and windy, especially on the open boat.

But the sun was out and the 33 passengers seemed to enjoy the jaunt.  Well, except for maybe the 1 year old guy who expressed his emotions in a most vociferous fashion.
