A gentle morning

I rather fancy a leather recliner...maybe even a power recliner. I’ve never been one to sprawl on the settee - perhaps I’m maturing in my tastes ( I.e. getting old)

I went into one of the big furniture stores. As I approached the door I could see them waiting to swoop....

Chair one....I tried it for size....
“Which room are you working on?” Asked the eager young lady.... (Have a guess ?)
I jotted down some notes, asked about colours, and moved on to the next one.....
More notes. Food for thought.

On to the next store...none as polite as the nice young lady but I sat in one fabulously comfy chair and noted the price ! Oops!! I clearly have taste. More notes. More food for thought....and what about my naughty little destructive Furbie ?

There’s a specialist reclining seat shop on the Lichfield by-pass. The gentleman stirred and came over to me. I sat in a rather nice leather recliner and sank in comfort.

“It’s too big,” he mumbled.
“No, it’s not. It’s lovely,” I replied.
“Your feet don’t touch the floor.”
“That’s not the point.”
He clearly thought I was a lost cause.
I didn’t make any notes in there (apart from mental ones.)
Majestic Wines is fatally next door......

It had stopped raining. I’d also managed sale bargain Christmas cake decorations in John Lewis so I was quite pleased.

A wander round the Cathedral area and headed for home.
