Skagway

Back blip

A beautifully preserved town reflecting its history in the Klondike Gold Rush between 1896 and 1898.

We took the coach up to the summit of the White Horse Pass to the Alaska-Yukon border and on to Carcross. Important to remember the passport as we are entering Canada, (but without the hassle that we had leaving Vancouver!!)

I found a small quilting shop there and bought a pack of fat quarters (as one does!!)

We stopped at the Caribou Crossing for lunch and saw their huskies and exhibition of native animals (the last group were stuffed).

Then on the railway depot for the return journey on the train. Superb scenery as we ran along the side the the mountains.
