Bernini’s elephant and obelisk. The elephant allegedly points with its rear towards what was once the office of a Dominican Father who criticized Bernini’s design and forced him to change it. The tail is raised and this suggests the elephant is defecating or greeting the priest in a rather obscene or offensive way. I also had a great pasta alla Gricia.
