When there is steak for dinner, the drama begins after Maximus comes out of his kennel after we have finished dinner and he begins his John Dog Barrymore routine. Between playing catch and knawing on his toy bone there is much sobbing and howling about the meat in the kitchen. It gets very quiet at 9:00 as that is his dinner time.
