Chaffinch

Wednesday has been fairly quiet, we had a trip to Saffron Walden in the morning to do a couple of things that needed to be done and this afternoon it was the usual trip to Fulbourn for Margaret's volunteer job.

This photo is of a male Chaffinch, we have several that come to the bird feeders. This one is free from leg growths that are affecting some chaffinches and other birds... hopefully some immunity is building up in the population.  These growths if advanced are very unpleasant, if you want to learn more follow the link at the bottom. I do wash the feeders regularly to keep them clean...
