A very (n)ice day

Our trip to Rogie Falls (described as gentle forest stroll) was more adventurous than planned. To start MrT skidded across ice rink car park stopping just in front of info sign. No traction and wheels just spun but with help from two fellow walkers we (I say we but it was really just MrT as I don't drive) managed to shift and make our way to a more sensible parking space - a combination of chipping the ice, laying down bags & bracket did the trick.

The path was somewhat icy too but falls were worth seeing. After that we decided against another forest walk and drove to Tain instead where we had a potter around. Extra is of Dormoch firth.

Also took a short foray into Sutherland (our first but not our last ).

All in all a good day with gin, dinner & wine to look forward too.
