We were up bright and early this morning to join a fishing charter on Western Port Bay.. It was perfect weather and the sea was like glass in the marina. Out on the bay was beautiful but the fish were not enthusiastic. We caught several flathead but only one each that was legal size. I also caught a baby Port Jackson shark and a Toadie. We still managed to eat fish for dinner with our friends in Rye in the evening as not everyone on the boat wanted to take their catch home. We padded it out with some prawns but the fresh flathead tails were delicious.
