Day 005/18. Alien Bog

The sun shone and it was time to head off into the New Forest for a very wet and muddy walk. En route we passed through an area of burnt out scrub from a fairly recent forest fire, probably last summer. These fires happen naturally when the gorse is tinder dry and is a regular part of a hot summer.
Of course they can also be started by a careless smoker or a careless BBQ'er. So take care when summer arrives.
On editing this alien environment I decided to add an even more alien feel to it by some colour manipulation.
