Albrecht Dürer

I decided that I needed another research project and I've chosen Albrecht Dürer as my subject. 

I've bought myself some books - this particular one is actually too big to fit in my bookshelves - and I look forward to discovering his story.

This particular picture comes from his self-portrait of 1498.  It's not as well known as the self portrait from 1500, but it's incredible to look at the details.

I've an idea to get some prints of his for my office.  Melancholia, St Jerome In His Study, Knight Death & The Devil & The 4 Riders Of The Apocalypse.

It will be fun reading about these things.
