Gomshall Mill....

...where we ate today, happily seated in the bar area next to a wonderful log fire.The restaurant area was being prepared for evening diners My extra is where we didn't eat but have in the past and provides equally delicious meals. It's almost next door; just a little further downstream. 

We had been to put away Christmas decorations from our friends' Surrey home. It looked rather bare when all was taken down. Like it does here really.... very minimalist and tidy! A standard to aim for all year round! 

The strong winds of yesterday had gone and the sun shone, making it a lovely day. Still cold though. I'm glad I had gloves on when I unravelled removed the lights from the decking balustrades. The job was achieved with very little tangling of wires and the lights are now very neatly wound and tied. ( I googled balustrades and banisters to learn the difference. Very interesting and helpful!)

A good day, well used!
