Almost There

... sing up at the back :-)
It's quite tricky to get a good photograph - lack of natural light now here in the far north! And the gold leaf - either too reflective or shows up as black...
any hoo - based on a poem of mine about the wonderful Magnesian Limestone that sprouts to the surface in this part of the word.
Encaustic and enamel and leafing 60 x 60cms.
I feel like I want to add some detail in the layers of rock by way of sgrafitto (sp?)... having to sleep on it...
