River Walk to Cockermouth Castle.

I had to go to the vets today and pick up some more medicine for Rip, luckily I parked in the car park beside the vets and took him for a short walk along the river, when we got back, he refused (or couldn't manage) to get into the campa. He is too heavy for me to lift, what should or what could I do.
Had to walk him to the vets and ask if they had a ramp, luckily one of the receptionists had, so I had to leave Rip at the vets while I went and got the van. Luckily when I parked up back at the vets one of the vets lifted Rip in for me. So don't think I will be taking him out in the van by myself again.
